Description: This game (for 1 or 2 players) is actually two separate games: Years 1-4 and Years 5-7, but both have very similar gameplay. Years 5-7 has some improvements; for example the controls feel a little smoother, but we recommend playing both. The game follows the movies for the most part and you play using multiple characters (including Crookshanks and Scabbers!). Characters' spells and abilities vary according to things like their experience in the Dark Arts, for example. While the game itself doesn't take very long to complete, we have yet to find every last item hidden throughout the game, but we are determined! These hidden items unlock new characters and cheats, and add depth to the game.
Whenever Christine and I are together (and we aren't motivated to do too much!) this is always our go-to activity. This game is one of my personal favorites because of how true it is to the books but also because of the fun extras where you can change your wand to a carrot or add mustaches to all the characters. Although this game lacks a legit gaming experience, it makes up for it through its funny quirks, which makes this game so much fun!
This is definitely one of my all time favorite games. Yes, it is largely because I love anything Harry Potter, but also because it just so well made. After trying a lot of other Harry Potter video games out there and being disappointed, I wasnât expecting much from this one. But, it is absolutely hilarious and well worth playing! And, after you finish with this game, check out the other Lego ones. So far I have played the Pirates of the Caribbean one and have enjoyed that one too.
